SEC to probe into Ctg Vegetables, Pharma Aids share price hike

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has asked the stock brokers to submit detailed reports of their clients who purchased the shares of Chittagong Vegetables over the last one month.

It also formed a committee to probe into the unusual price hike of Pharma Aids Limited and the committee will submit its report within the next seven days.

At the same time, the trading of this company's (Pharma Aids) shares will remain suspended from today (Monday) until the regulator issues further order.

The market monitoring cell of the SEC took these moves Sunday at a meeting held at the commission office.

SEC Executive Director Anwarul Kabir Bhuiyan said the SEC thinks the price hike of the Chittagong Vegetables had been unusual over the last one month.
