MJL Bangladesh Ltd, a Mobil branded products producing company, launched three new plants Grease, Viscosity Index Improver and Transformer Oil at its Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) at Patenga in Chittagong Thursday.
Energy and Mineral Resources Division Secretary Mohammad Mejbahuddin, also chairman of MJL Bangladesh Ltd, attended the inaugural function as the chief guest.
MJL Bangladesh Ltd Director and former Adviser to the caretaker government Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury was present as special guest at the function, while MJL Bangladesh Ltd Managing Director Azam J Chowdhury made the opening speech.
The products to be produced by the newly-launched three plants will be import-substitutes and thereby help save foreign currency of the country, said a press release.
MJL Bangladesh Ltd is distributing Mobil branded products in Bangladesh since 1998. The company installed the country's only state of-the-art LOBP in 2003. The plant produces Mobil and Omera branded products.
